Welcome to REgarding Peanut! Our store is an appointment only, parent-to-parent kind of shop. I am more than happy to meet you at your home, have you come to mine, or meet somewhere in between. I love to do special orders for my customers, and it usually takes less than 2 weeks to get any special orders in.

I volunteer at Evergreen Hospital Parent Baby classes on Tuesdays from 9-12...I'd love to meet with you there. And if you have a baby who is 0-3 months old, you should come to these great, free classes! They're in room TAN-140/142 from 1230-230. It's a great way to learn about being a new mom, make some new mom friends, and get out of the house in a safe and comforting environment!

Please email me to discuss a time we can meet up! I'd love to meet you and your baby and help you on your babywearing journey.

I also offer babywearing classes to help you decide what sort of carrier might work best for your situation. These must be scheduled, and can be for your playgroup, mom's group, or even a baby shower. I'm also happy to do in-home presentations (think Tupperware) with my whole store!

REgarding Peanut is now carrying another baby carrier: the Patapum of Italy!

After much searching for a different type of carrier, we've decided that the Patapum is it. It is a soft-structured carrier that is designed for heavier babies and longer wear. The waist belt supports the baby's weight on the hips and the padded shoulder straps make for comfy wearing.

What styles of pants do Tinybigs work with?

Tinybigs will work on any style of pants and separate shirts. They were originally designed with elastic waistbands in mind - the styles without belt loops, but the classic alligator clip will work on any type of waistband. Where should they be worn?They can be conveniently worn anywhere along the child's waist, allowing it to be out of the way or a showpiece. How do I use them?Just attach the bottom alligator clip to your child's waistband, extend the elastic strap up and underneath their shirt, let the shirt fall naturally, then clasp the decorative magnetic applique to the elastic strap's magnet beneath...basically snapping the shirt to the pants so both stay in place.

So the top, applique clasp is magnetic, how does that work?

Tinybigs' magnetic clasp is best on Tee's or any light to mid weight shirts, however they are not recommended for bulky, heavy weight tops such as sweaters and jackets. Since this is a magnetic clasp, it looses strength as you add more material in between the top and bottom clasps. The magnetic clasp is very strong and should not pop off during normal use with the attire recommended.

Are they comfortable for our babies to wear?

There is no bulk or hard edges to Tinybigs, it is very comfortable for babies to wear - they most likely will not even know they are wearing them. The magnetic components are safely and securely sewn within the fabric applique and elastic. The elastic strap has a 100% cuddly cotton backing to it so it is comfortable directly against babies' skin.

How do I keep our Tinybigs clean?

To keep Tinybigs clean, spot clean as necessary with a mild detergent (it is best to not submerge them in water) then air dry.What about the Tinybigs Creepers and how do I wash these?Our Tinybigs Creepers are 100% cuddly cotton Onesies with a built-in suspender strap (minus the magnetic clasp). The strap is set slightly off center for babies' best comfort and for ease of use. They are great for layering and fashionable alone. Our creepers are machine washable: wash cold, gentle cycle, no bleach. Tumble dry low, warm iron only if needed.

So....Whether it be to keep those too big in the waist pants pulled up, or babies' shirt pulled down (better then tucking in!) or maybe to just add a splash of individuality to an outfit, Tinybigs are a must-have accessory for any babies' wardrobe. A little about KK shoes: These are SO cute and SO comfy! RE loves hers...the rubber sole is totally flexible (I can bend it in half with very little effort) and perfect for new walkers. The leather is sturdy and very high quality. The craftsmanship is fantastic. These are comparable to See Kai Run, Preschoolians and Stride Rite. And in our super-rainy Seattle area, they'll be better in the rain than the leather soft-soled shoes...a little more durable!

Hotsling Sizing

Correct sizing for pouch slings is essential for the happiness of both mom/dad and baby. Find your best fit with our Size Calculator (use pre-preg weight, if you get more than one size recommended and have big breasts, broad shoulders, a big 'ole baby, or wear bulky clothes, pick the larger size.) Most people wear a 3, 4 or 5.

To measure from shoulder to hip: use a soft tape measure and start at the outer corner of your shoulder and measure diagonally across your body down to your hip bone. The number (in inches) should be in the 20s.

Good fit= the lowest part of the baby in the "blue zone."

Notes on fit: Everyone is different. What they can and can't tolerate is largely preferential. Some people can wear more than one size and that's OK. It's like going to the clothing store and being able to buy jeans in both a size 6 and a size 8. They both fit, maybe one's slightly looser.

Too Small: feels uncomfortably tight, digs into baby's legs, it's crazy hard to get baby in.

Too Big: baby feels insecure, your legs bump the baby as you walk, your back aches after a short time, sling slips off your shoulder.
